Three Ways to Participate:
Students are invited to participate in one or more of three phases.
Phase One: which includes weekends one and two, is open to all lifestyle students, massage therapists, and yoga teachers pursuing personal growth and CEU’s.
Phase Two: includes weekends three and four is open to yoga teachers seeking CEU’s, as well as dedicated students and health care professionals. Phase one is a pre-requisite. Requests to wave pre-requisites will be considered by the director. Contact her here.
Phase Three: is for yoga teachers who want to complete Lillah’s Signature 300 Hour Yoga Therapy Specialty Training. Attend all four 20-hour Healing Our Backs with Yoga weekends, an additional 60 hours of practicum in a combination of private training and weekends. Program concludes with a mentored six month documented practicum. Available to both 200 hour and 500 hour certified students ( see below for more information).
Phase One:
August 26-28, 2016 – Principles of Self-applied Back Care
September 23-24, 2016 – Anatomy of Movement, & Balanced Posture

Phase One
Students learn:
- the therapeutic application of yoga poses for a variety back, neck and shoulder conditions
- a practical knowledge of anatomy
- how to identify and correct muscular imbalances
- how to safely build flexibility and strength
- how yoga improves the health of your joints
- how yoga can increase endorphins and reduce pain
- how yoga can integrate the body/mind and reduce stress
Each 13 hour weekend includes:
- asana (pose) practices
- pranayama (breath) practices
- anatomy studies
- relaxation training
- pose sequencing principles
- meditation and pain management
- and more

November 11-13, 2016 – Spinal Conditions and Practice Guidelines

Phase Two

- $285 per weekend.
- Both weekends total 20 hours each of CEUs for yoga teachers. Each weekend may be attended individually with permission from Lillah.
Weekends 3 & 4 Hours:
- Friday 2 – 5 pm & 6:30 – 9:00 pm
- Saturday 10:00 – 6:30 pm, with lunch break from 1:30- 2:45 pm

Phase Three:
IAYT, International Association of Yoga Therapy Member School Since April 2012
This Specialty Training Phase is currently under revision… July/August 2016.
Attend All 4 Weekends in 2016 Plus an additional 60 hours in private and weekend sessions, and a documented/ mentored practicum in 2017.
Overview: The Healing Our Backs with Yoga TM Specialty Therapy Training will assist you in developing a deep understanding of back pain, and how to apply yoga for its relief. This program satisfies approximately 1/3 of the new IAYT competencies listed in their current yoga therapy standards as of December 2013. In order to assist you in meeting all the new standards, you may request a list of competencies met by this program.
The Curriculum will include learning how to make effective Structural and Therapeutic Needs Assessments and develop Sequence Plans.
Pre-requisites:
- Combined 300/500 hr and Yoga Therapy Certificate: Yoga teachers who have a 200 hour certificate are invited to attend the two year 300 hr course which includes the 4 weekends in Healing Our Backs with Yoga TM. By adding the additional six month mentored/ documented practicum the following year, you will complete the combined program. (See fees for the 300/500 hr course and add $1000 for the practicum).
- Fast Track: Is for yoga teachers who hold a 500 hr certificate, have taught for a minimum of 2 years, and have completed an additional 50 hours of study in anatomy and physiology, and 50 hours of Yoga Sutra study, or are professionals with a relevant therapeutic background. You will need to attend all four weekends, the additional 60 hours of training, and participate in the six month mentored/ documented practicum. This 300 hr program includes 100 transfer hours, 210 contact hours, and 150 non-contact practicum hours, totaling 460 documented hours.

Phase Three - 300-Hr Yoga Therapy Specialty Training
Mandatory Interview: As this is a mentorship program, all students applying for the Fast Track will be required to attend a 300 hr weekend prior to the start of the Healing Our Backs with Yoga series to demonstrate practice and peer teaching skills before acceptance into the program.
Mentorship Practicum – Our 150 hour mentorship practicum is now available to those students who complete either the 300/500 hr training or the Fast Track Healing our Backs Specialty training. Information will be provided in the training program.

Cost for the Fast Track Program: $2342
- Pay in full: $2342 includes course manual and $375 non-refundable application fee. Along with the attendance to your “Interview Weekend” for acceptance into the program.
- 8 Month Payment Plan with registration & deposit of $375 then, eight payments of $255.87 to be paid each month. A $10 per month, approximately 3.5%, is added to administer payment plan.
Weekends Hours:
- Friday 2 – 5 pm & 6:30 – 9:00 pm
- Saturday 10:00 – 6:30 pm, with lunch break from 1:30-2:45 pm
