Topic 1: Healing Our Backs with Yoga™
Learn the therapeutic application of yoga for back, neck and shoulder conditions. A national expert in yoga’s structural benefits, Lillah offers this signature course to help you tap into yoga’s healing and strengthening power.
Experience the healing principles rooted in the science of yoga. Explore fundamental yoga poses based in the science of anatomy, physiology, and the alignment principles of yoga. You will gain confidence in your ability to self-heal and have additional understanding and skills to share.

Guidance will be given on how to relax and use the breath as a healing tool. The content of each session will vary and include a combination of lecture, breathing practice, dynamic stretching and restoration. Alignment techniques presented are from the Iyengar system.

Healing Our Backs with YogaTM: The One Day
Healing Our Backs with YogaTM Specialty Training
An ideal weekend training for yoga studios and yoga teacher training programs. A power packed level 1 & 2 weekend of anatomy, movement principles, breath awareness, and the central principles of alignment based yoga. Students gain insight into their own healing potential and leave with skills to share. A 20 Hour weekend for $285. See information at the bottom of this page.
Please Note: Healing Our Backs with Yoga ™ has three levels. A combination of Level 1 and 2 is available to be part of any acceptable yoga teacher training program. Contact Lillah for more information.
Topic 2: Yoga : Alignment and Liberation
Drawing on her Iyengar training, Lillah will explore how alignment, self-awareness, kindness, non-grasping and passion can broaden the scope of our yoga practice. Reflection on the yamas and niyamas, mindfulness, and pranayama will be included.

Topic 4:Yoga at the Root of Nature
The Ancients say the key to life is balance. Receive guidance in an examination of your yoga practice from the perspective of the three Gunas and the Five Koshas. More information TBA.
Topic 5: Yoga and the Organic Body
Drawing on alignment and sensitive awareness, we will study how the organ systems are released, nourished and stimulated through pose position, the five organs of action, and the effective use of props.

Topic 6: Yoga Tricks for Change
Fun, creative ways to practice and adjust poses for personal evolution. Excellent insights for individual practitioners and yoga teachers. All categories of asana will be covered over the weekend including; standing poses, twists, seated poses, back bends, inversions and pranayama.
Topic 7: Growing Yoga Connections
Deepen your roots. Explore the magic of alignment and how the parts relate to the whole on all levels. Employing the breath, the discovery of resistance, the psychology behind sensation, and the intention to connect to your highest purpose, we move from dis-integration to integration. Drawing on her Iyengar and metaphysical training, Lillah will be your guide.

- Working the Psoas Muscle – the key to excellent posture & backbends.
- The Physics of Yoga: Teaching the Overly Stiff or Overly Flexible Student – we will explore ways to work the poses with and without resistance.
- The Art of Pranayama (Breath Exercise) – theory and practice.
- The Sacroiliac Joint – learn to understand, release, stabilize and protect your SI joint. Recommended practice sequences included.
- Living With Scoliosis – both teachers and students will learn how to evaluate weak and strong muscles and choose poses to improve overall freedom and function.
- Yoga for Special Needs – A seminar for yoga teachers and health care providers to learn how to apply asana principles and alignment to serve special populations. Primarily focused on yoga for MS based on the National Yoga for MS Program designed by Eric Small.
- Living With Vitality – The practice of yoga, asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath control) with a focus on maintaining flexibility, stimulating organ function, altering the course of arthritis, and accepting and renewing the wonder of life.

All seminars are available for two days, Friday and Saturday, or for three days including Sunday.
Lillah’s Day rates of $150 an hour are available within a 60 mile radius of Asheville. (ie: Johnson City, TN, Greenville, SC) A minimum number of 10 students is recommended.
Lillah’s minimum fee is $1600 for a weekend or 60/40 split whichever is greater. Covering transportation fees, housing and meals is expected. Lillah prefers housing with a local student who has a space for a morning yoga practice. For more information please contact her directly or call 828.273.9401.
Cost to students: sessions individually priced or discounted for full participation at $225 for a 13 hour weekend, $285 for a 20 hour teacher training weekend. Seven hour, 1 day sessions – $150, Three hour sessions – $60 individual, Two hour sessions – $50 individual
