Lillah Schwartz will be holding a weekend of Yoga for the Asymmetric Pelvis at Nirvana Yoga Studios in Atlanta October 20-22. Nirvana Yoga Studios is on Cherokee Avenue SE and can be reached by telephone at (404)420-0999.

What the Weekend Will Hold

Join therapeutic yoga expert and author, Lillah Schwartz, on a journey of yoga poses to open, tone, and stabilize the muscles of the hips and pelvic floor, relieving the pain associated with an uneven gait, pelvic rotations, and leg length discrepancies.  ‘‘Lillah shares a foundational but often overlooked topic of sacral and pelvic floor stability. These handy tools I use in Yoga Therapy, Clinical Massage and Ayurvedic consults to enhance my clients self understanding and better their quality of life.”            ~Marek Sawicki

Discover:

• the importance of alignment  • the true definition of core strength  • ways to access and balance your pelvic floor

October 20,  Friday 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, session involves awakening the psoas muscle and exploring how to maintain healthy hips.
October 21, Saturday 11 am to 2 pm, includes poses for core strength, how to unstick the sacroilliac joints, and balancing the pelvic floor.
October 21, Saturday 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, consists of  theory and practice, the four types of SI joint imbalances, the five muscle tests as aids to assessment, and the Sacral Stabilization Sequence.
October 22, Sunday 1 pm to 4 pm, offers a Pranayama practice focused on ease of breath with retentions on both the inhale and exhale,  followed by poses to progressively tone the pelvic ring and a weekend review.

Cost

Individual sessions are $60 each. You can have this whole weekend of instruction for $225 which also includes a copy of her book, Healing Our Backs with Yoga: An Essential Guide to Back Pain Relief.
