Transformation Yoga Teacher Training 200 & 300/500 Hour Program


1. Why is this training your best choice?

The importance of a well-organized program that puts safety first cannot be underestimated. Regardless of which style of yoga you are most fond of, having a solid foundation in alignment, anatomy, physiology and the principles of yoga are a necessity. Our comprehensive program provides an introduction to the alignment and action principles of yoga and prepares graduates to lead safe and effective classes in their communities. Our graduates are widely respected around the southeast, and receive a supportive and nurturing education in Yoga as a Healing Art.

3. How can I make the training affordable?

We offer monthly payment plans and an early registration discount at the 200 hr level to help you manage your money. Please call the studio to discuss how the monthly plan can fit your budget.


4. How can I make my first deposit & then monthly payments?

You can send a check with your application to the studio, pay online thru our mind body account, or call and make a credit card payment over the phone. Monthly payments on plans are made by check or credit card on the 1st or 15th of each month. Our office manager will assist you.


5. What is the anticipated cost of books?

Plan on approximately $250 for books and props. You will not need to purchase all required books at one time. Please review the book list for purchasing priorities.   We appreciate when you are able to purchase your required reading material from the studio, yet you may wish to buy second hand books to stretch your dollars.

The teacher training manuals are included in the cost of your program.


6. Where to stay in Asheville?

7. I can’t make one of the weekends, how can I make-up the time?

For the 200 Hour program; there are two weekends each year that can be used for a makeup weekend. One is the annual Yoga for Change RetreatTM held in August, and the annual Roger Cole, PhD., training weekend held in November. There is an additional fee of $228 for either weekend.

For the 500 Hour program; one make up weekend is included with your program for no additional charge. Any additional make up weekends will have the additional fee of $228. For an extended leave of absence please contact the director, Lillah.


8. If I enroll in the 200 Hour basic training do I have to take electives?

No electives are necessary for this program. You can enroll in the basic training which includes the 10 core curriculum weekends and graduate with a 200 hr Yoga Alliance Registration.


9. What if I have taken workshops before your 200 hour training that I wish to apply toward my requirements, is this possible?

The Yoga Alliance requirements for both the  200/300 hour trainings do not allow outside hours to be counted. The Transformation Yoga Teacher Training is designed to help you grow in ways you may only imagine at this time. Complete immersion is necessary. The outcome will be rewarding.


Professional Yoga Teacher Training 300/500 hr Program

1. Can I enroll in the 300/500 hr program before completing the 200 hr program?

You will need to complete ours or any other 200 hour program before beginning the 300/500 professional training program.


2. My 200 hr certification is from another Yoga Alliance Registered School. What should I do?

Please indicate on your application if you attended a yoga school that offered training in the alignment principles of yoga.


3. What if I completed a teacher training that offered less than 200 hrs, can I still apply to your 300/500 hr program?

Yes you can. You will be asked to pick up the additional hours you need by attending additional weekends offered at One Center Yoga and/ or approved by Lillah.


4. Can workshops I have taken since the completion of my 200 hr training be applied toward the 300/500 hour program?

According to the Yoga Alliance teacher training agreements, all additional 300 hours of training must be with the same school. Therefore we will not be able to apply other workshops toward the fulfillment of your training here.


5. I can’t make one of the weekends, how can I make-up the time?

You are welcome to make up the time you have missed at another weekend later in the same year or in the following year, depending on weather you are enrolled in the one-year or two-year program. One make up weekend is included with your program for no additional charge. Any additional make up weekends will have the additional fee of $228. 6. When should I schedule my one hour private sessions?

Lillah asks that you schedule two appointments every year. These appointments may correlate with the weekends you are in Asheville for your training. Times available include Thursday afternoons at 4 pm, Friday morning at 10, 11, or 12 am, Sunday at 4 pm, or Monday 8:30 am. You may also schedule at times other than at training weekends.


7. Do you do a Specialty Therapeutic Yoga Training?

Yes. Healing our Backs with YogaTM is Lillah’s signature training, and is available to her 500 hr graduates who also have training in anatomy and physiology. An additional two weekends of focused training will be required along with a six-month mentorship program. There is an additional fee of $1000.00. Graduates are then poised and ready to become a certified yoga therapist with IAYT, extend their training and benefit by setting themselves apart from other yoga teachers in their communities.
